I am learning what it means to Brand.
Recently, I have been working on a business venture/opportunity.
I have become a health and lifestyle coach. As a former ballet dancer turned mom, with a passion for helping equip people to live exceptionally, this has been an awesome journey. I have loved expanding myself in this field. I have however, had difficulty figuring out website designs and programs and logo’s. I have come to learn and see that I am not creating the company Coached By Kate but, I am branding and marketing my very own self.
With that in mind, I have really been thinking about how I present myself to the world every day. Image presenting and branding of individuals is not a new thing. I however am touching on it in many new ways and it has been eye opening.
Am I joyful? Do I dress for the success I’m wanting on a daily basis ? Am I branding myself as an individual who loves like Christ loves?
As someone who works from home it is easy to just throw on the yoga pants and go. But I can see a diffrence in how I manage even my toddlers tantrums when I am better “dressed” for the day. This includes my attitude, my wardrobe, and my heart.
Getting up early and preparing myself for my day in all these aspects has been something I have been lacking in doing and boy can I tell a difference! I don’t have the energy, I don’t feel prepared, I am definatly not presenting my best foot forward. I don’t accomplish half what I could when I am dressing better. when I’m dressing for success.
I blogged on the subject of “dressing for success” early on in my musings and it is just as relevant now. When we don’t give ourselves the time to meditate, put on make-up, and throw on a scarf instead of the yoga ensemble we cheat ourselves of what could be.
In the next few posts I’m going to dive deep into some of these thoughts. For now, let’s just think about what we are doing to present our best selves to the world.
-Are you getting up and dressing for success?
-Do you know what image you want to portray to the world?
-Are you preparing for success in the role you are assigned for today? (whether its mom, entrepreneur, girlfriend, wife, sister, or coach)
-If you were to dress as if you were a “rockstar” in your role what would that look like?
You are a cast member in a bigger story line that Christ is weaving.
-Are you choosing to be a lead role or an extra?
