Linda Dillow put it wonderfully –
“We grow up when we see our life and our role from God’s perspective; when we thank God for the role He has assigned us and begin to see our cup as a gift intead of a cross;when each morning we ask, “God, how can I glorify You today in my given role?” “
I have become more and more aware of how often misery loves company. I am not saying we shouldn’t be real with one another. When your struggling its important not to fake it. Maybe I should retract what I just said…”Fake it till you make it” also has a place here.
What are you choosing to focus on? I can find fault in almost everthing and pretty quickly too. But does it mean I should?
God has given me this time, this season, and for a beautiful purpose! Am I going to take it as a gift and recieve it as such or am I going to complain about my life and where I am at? Am I going to be obedient in the today, knowing that the promise is coming? Or even if its not what I thought, will I choose contentment and joy?
You and I both have met someone who despite there beautiful and very much blessed life, (and you know this because you know them well), they are always in misery! They complian about everything. They hate where they are at. Women who have dreamed of being a wife, mother, and homemaker…they hate being home. People who have THE JOB, the family, the car, the house…miserable with how there family acts, and how the job treats them.
This season, are you thankful for where you are at? Are you in a hard spot? Can you look at your life and see it as blessed? Can you see God in your circumstances and stop complaining? You are blessed!!! Act like it!!
Psalms 146:1
Praise the Lord! Yes, really praise him! 2 I will praise him as long as I live,…
